Summary

We are seeking an experienced and proactive IT Support Specialist to oversee daily IT operations and ensure the stability, integrity, and efficiency of our technology infrastructure. This role will be instrumental in managing a team of IT professionals, guiding the implementation of IT solutions, and ensuring high-quality technical support across the organization.

The ideal candidate is a strong leader with hands-on technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for driving operational excellence in IT service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage the day-to-day activities of the IT support team, ensuring timely and effective resolution of technical issues.
  • Monitor and maintain performance of computer systems, networks, and enterprise applications.
  • Oversee installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware, software, and network systems.
  • Implement and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure system security, compliance, and efficiency.
  • Manage helpdesk operations: assign, track, and close tickets while ensuring high end-user satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with vendors for procurement, support, licensing, and service-level agreements (SLAs).
  • Ensure proper execution of regular backups, system updates, and disaster recovery testing.
  • Support IT budgeting, resource planning, and forecasting in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, training, and coaching for IT staff to foster growth and excellence.
  • Provide advanced technical guidance and escalate complex issues to the IT Manager when necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in IT operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
  • Strong knowledge of network administration, system security, cloud platforms, and enterprise software.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage IT support operations and implement IT service best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with vendor management and budgeting is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Security+, Microsoft, ITIL, etc.) are a plus.
