Title: Power BI Sr. Developer role
Location: Remote Santa Monica, CA.
Duration: This is a 6-month position
Job description
- Power BI Best Practices in general
- Semantic Model: define best practices for designing and sharing semantic models. Develop guidelines for versioning, documentation, and reuse.
- Optimize Direct query mode/best practices for most optimal utilization of compute (defining aggregates) with automation. If we have good examples and templates for setup.
- Getting into a development mode in Power BI with multiple developers (Git versioning or Azure DevOps integration)
- PBI Service Capacity; analyze what would be the best capacity for our environment.
- Power BI Apps & Distribution: design App publishing lifecycle: packaging, versioning, deployment pipelines. Apps vs reports in terms of best practice.
- Power BI Reporting Template how do we design reusable templates for Power BI for Enterprise.
- We also need some help on monitoring the system and capacity usage. And how to better distribute the capacity.
