About Our Company and the Role

Our company is a leader in the Release of Information (ROI) space, providing cutting-edge solutions for healthcare organizations. As the Director of Remote Solutions, you'll be responsible for managing our remote operations, including the Risk Adjustment Ownership business, Intake service line, and OnDemand service line. This is a hybrid remote role, offering the flexibility to work from home while still being connected to our national service centers and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overall management responsibility for remote operations and service lines, ensuring maximum productivity and quality standards.
  • Select, train, and manage qualified personnel in all positions reporting directly to you.
  • Direct, monitor, and appraise the performance of direct reports, providing guidance on employee and site performance.
  • Lead workflow activities among on-site and remote work-from-home employees to ensure seamless collaboration.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and support to the MRO management team to drive efficiencies and client satisfaction.
  • Foster a positive self-image of MRO, emphasizing customer service and responding to client needs efficiently.
  • Meet regularly with clients to develop and maintain strong relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with MRO/customer policies, procedures, and Federal/State law.
  • Maintain and enhance the on-boarding training program for medical record staff.
  • Monitor performance, provide feedback, and conduct evaluations.
  • Analyze site operations' profitability and make adjustments to achieve company goals.
  • Review performance against operating plans and standards, providing reports and approving changes in direction.
  • Assist with Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action Plans.
  • Review and approve expenses, maintaining budget controls for staffed site operations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to carry out responsibilities.
  • Participate in client QBRs (Quarterly Business Reviews) as needed.
  • Work with department heads at National Service Center to drive process improvements.
  • Create a positive work environment that reduces turnover.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years of supervisory/management experience, preferably in Release of Information (ROI).
  • Proven ability to recruit, train, and motivate personnel, with a participative management style that advocates for a team concept.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to interact with clients and internal stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge:

  • RHIT or RHIA certification, demonstrating your expertise in health information management.
  • Strong time management and broad knowledge of computer systems in healthcare and Health Information Management, enabling you to drive process improvements.
