Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate customs clearance processes for shipments entering the US, ensuring compliance with regulations and deadlines.
• Process and manage import-related documentation, including commercial invoices, bills of lading, and customs forms.
• Communicate with clients, internal teams, and government agencies to resolve customs clearance issues and provide exceptional customer service.
• Stay up-to-date with changes in customs regulations, laws, and procedures, ensuring compliance and providing guidance to colleagues.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues and improve customs clearance processes.
• Provide training and support to colleagues on customs trade procedures and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as international trade, logistics, or business.
• At least 6 months of experience in customs trade, preferably in a logistics or transportation company.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve complex customs clearance issues.
• Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks effectively.
• HS Confirmation or GED required.

Preferred Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with:

• Experience working with customs clearance software and systems.
• Knowledge of US customs regulations, laws, and procedures.
• Fluency in a second language, preferably Spanish or Chinese.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
