They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Benefits Representative to join their remote team. As a Medical Benefits Representative, you will be responsible for handling inbound and outbound calls, performing medical benefits investigations, and working with insurance carriers to ensure coverage of medication on behalf of patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Answer inbound calls and make outbound calls to healthcare providers, patients, and insurance carriers
• Perform medical benefits investigations to determine patient eligibility and coverage
• Utilize computer skills for data entry and manage patient information in a secure and confidential manner
• Gather and review patient billing and medical information to facilitate benefits investigations
• Operate according to the guidelines of the Federal Health Care Program and adhere to industry regulations
• Collaborate with insurance carriers to ensure coverage of medication on behalf of patients
• Maintain accurate records and update patient information in a timely and efficient manner

Essential Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

• Prior experience with medical insurance and prior authorizations
• Medical Call Center experience is a plus, but not required
• Active internet connection and the ability to work from home in a dedicated and distraction-free environment
• Ability to multi-task and use dual monitors
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• High School Diploma or Equivalent required

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly preferred:

• Previous experience in a pharmaceutical or healthcare setting
• Familiarity with industry-specific software and technology
• Certification in medical benefits or a related field
