Position Summary

As a Coding and Compliance Specialist, you will be primarily responsible for providing data and reports in support of our Coding and Compliance Department. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Compiling billing and revenue data from internal systems upon request for the Coding Compliance team to review and analyze
  • Preparing data summaries for Leadership and other departments, including the Executive leadership team
  • Running reports, compiling data, and managing standard reporting/tracking logs as established by management
  • Summarizing and formatting findings and results for leadership
  • Preparing data findings to executive leadership in presentation format
  • Researching coding and fee schedule changes
  • Researching clinician payment data from billing systems

Requirements and Qualifications

Education and Credentials

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Associate degree from an accredited college preferred

Technical Skills

  • Minimum intermediate to advanced MS experience, primarily on Excel
  • Experience with database reporting using industry-standard tools and databases (e.g., Sequel, SAS, Crystal Reports, and Excel)

Experience

  • At least two years of proven experience in a coding and billing healthcare setting
  • Certified Coder: 3 years (Required)
  • Presentation skills: 1 year (Required)
