Job Summary

In this dynamic and fast-paced role, you will be responsible for modeling and conveying a unique and magnificent client experience, registering sales, providing respectful and efficient checkout services, and engaging with clients to offer help with products and services. You will also be expected to resolve customer issues, answer questions, and ensure a positive client experience. As a key member of our team, you will be required to work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver an outstanding client experience, including demonstrating excellent relational habits and embodying Walgreens' service values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional client experiences by greeting customers, offering assistance with products and services, and resolving customer issues in a fair and respectful manner
  • Register sales on designated sales register, collect cash, and distribute change as needed; process voids, returns, delays, discounts, and trades as required
  • Recommend items for sale to customers and suggest upsell and cross-sell opportunities to drive sales growth
  • Maintain counters and retire areas clean and well-merchandised, take inventory, and maintain records
  • Check in and price stock as required or as directed by the store manager or shift leader
  • Implement Organization resource protection methods to identify and minimize profit loss
  • Ensure compliance with state and local regulations regarding controlled products (e.g., liquor and tobacco products)
  • Develop and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, super designs, and sale stock; complete resets and updates as directed
  • Assist with separation of food items (e.g., raw foods from pre-cooked) and product placement as determined by policies/procedures (e.g., raw and frozen meats on bottom shelves)
  • Have working knowledge of store systems and store equipment
  • Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service, banner print and creative machine, and sales of special photo items
  • Take on web pick obligations (monitor orders in Picture Care Plus, fulfill orders (pick items), deliver orders to customers as they arrive at the store)
  • Assist with outside and inside maintenance by ensuring a clean, neat, and deliberate store environment and appearance
  • Conform to all company policies and procedures; maintain respectful relationships with colleagues
  • Complete special tasks and other duties as assigned

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico)
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment
  • Previous work experience with Walgreens is a plus
