About Our Team

Our Infrastructure Sub Group, Cloud Engineering, builds platforms that empower engineering teams across Disney+ Hotstar. We work on process clusters and gateway technologies across multiple geographies, ensuring high availability, reliability, and uptime. Our team also powers the platform that scales infrastructure during large events, providing seamless performance for our users. We're a specialist bilingual team that sets the standard for how the framework is managed through code and builds tools and abstractions that help development teams focus on delivering exceptional client experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Cloud Infrastructure Leadership: You will be responsible for system management and development across the organization, setting the bar for production-grade standards.
• Platform Evaluation and Adoption: Assess and advocate for the adoption of register stage and gateway technologies based on organizational requirements.
• Infra Code and Design: Set the standard for infrastructure code association and design, focusing on extensibility and future compatibility.
• Performance Benchmarking: Establish hardware and performance benchmarks to provide a robust and performant platform.
• Engineering Guidance and Support: Provide direction and solve engineering issues for individual functional groups with customized use cases.
• Organizational Change Management: Implement hierarchical changes by championing quality and consistency.
• Collaboration and Alignment: Work with various stakeholders to align teams toward solutions.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

• Containerization Experience: At least 2 years of experience in the containerization space.
• Kubernetes and Cloud-Native: Proficiency with Kubernetes and exposure to cloud-native environment tools.
• Programming Expertise: Mastery with programming using a high-level language, including design principles and writing clean code.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Experience with Foundation Stage Standards and solutioning using automation.
• Cloud Platforms: Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms, specifically with managing multiple accounts and topographies.
• IaC Tools: Experience with an IaC tool, including managing it at the scale of an organization with multiple teams.
• Networking and Linux: Experience with networking and Linux, including protocols, sniffing, and network design.
• Documentation: Experience in writing high-quality documentation with an emphasis on clarity and concision.
• Leadership and Mentoring: Authority experience in building consensus for proposed engineering solutions and mentoring junior colleagues.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical Education: Tech/B.E/Masters in Computer Science from a reputable school or related technical discipline.
• Experience in Infrastructure and Automation: Stretches of involvement in infrastructure and automation.
