Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Food Service Worker Supervisor to join our team at MCCS in Oceanside, CA. As a Food Service Worker Supervisor, you'll be responsible for supervising a team of food service workers, ensuring the highest quality of food and beverages, and providing exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise a team of food service workers in the accomplishment of work, including assigning and distributing tasks, coaching, counseling, and mentoring employees.
  • Ensure the highest quality of food and beverages, adhering to established recipe and presentation standards.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, using suggestive selling techniques to sell associated products and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Operate cash registers, manage own change fund, and complete prescribed training.
  • Adhere to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment.
  • Perform other related duties as required, including conducting safety meetings, advising employees of available safety regulations, and ensuring safety training is provided to employees.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of experience in food service, including supervisory experience.
  • Ability to perform tasks with several steps and use judgment in the performance of sequential tasks.
  • Ability to supervise employees in the accomplishment of work, including assigning and distributing tasks, coaching, counseling, and mentoring employees.
  • Ability to serve uniform individual portions and avoid distractions, such as when several people ask for different items at the same time.
  • Ability to perform simple arithmetic and read and follow instructions.
  • Working knowledge of common sanitation procedures to prevent contamination and perform work according to established safety guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a fast-paced food service environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Ability to lift and carry objects up to 45 lbs independently and objects over 45 lbs with assistance.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and provide exceptional customer service.
