As a Remote Customer Service Representative in New York, NY, you'll play a vital role in our Aetna Medicaid Member Services team, providing exceptional telephone assistance to members and providers. Your expertise and compassion will help us achieve our goal of delivering outstanding customer experiences, every time.

About the Role: Key Responsibilities

As a Member Service Representative, you'll be the primary point of contact for Aetna Medicaid members and providers, addressing a range of inquiries and concerns. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Responding to inbound calls from members and providers, providing timely and effective solutions to their queries regarding benefits, eligibility, services, prior authorization requirements, and extra benefits and programs.
  • Demonstrating strong customer service skills, empathy, and professionalism in all interactions, ensuring a positive experience for every caller.
  • Utilizing high-speed internet connectivity with secure service via ethernet cable (Wi-Fi not permitted) to perform your duties efficiently.
  • Participating in comprehensive training provided by CVS Health, equipping you with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in your role.
  • Adhering to a production schedule (8:30 AM - 5:00 PM EST, Monday through Friday) and meeting performance standards, attendance requirements, and call quality goals.

Essential Qualifications: What We're Looking For

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Residency within 50 miles of New York, NY (or Richmond, VA for alternative location).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with members and providers.
  • The ability to work independently from home, demonstrating self-sufficiency and a strong work ethic.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Occasional commuting to the office in New York, NY (or Richmond, VA) when unable to work from home due to technical issues.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience That Sets You Apart

While not mandatory, the following experience will give you a competitive edge:

  • Previous experience working remotely in a call center environment.
  • Familiarity with Medicaid and Medicare programs, enhancing your understanding of member needs and services.
