Position Summary

The Cloud Architect is responsible for cloud application management, deployment, and monitoring within Microsoft cloud client environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive technical knowledge of cloud computing and infrastructure, as well as experience designing and implementing Azure cloud solutions and architectures.

Duties and Responsibilities include

• Regular monitoring and evaluating advanced solutions and functions of Microsoft cloud environments to ensure applications and functions security, data governance, and compliance
• Responsible for development, organization, and resiliency of continual running Azure workloads
• Work within a team to provide second level support for issues within Azure Gov Cloud client environments
• Act as a level 4 escalation point for the support team for Azure and Office 365 support issues
• Create well informed documentation of processes
• Offer thought leadership and guidance in cloud infrastructure improvement, management, and movement techniques on cloud platform technology, use, and design
• Identify top cloud architecture solutions that impact the strategic direction of both the client and Summit 7 organization
• Develop and maintain relationships with team members, company stakeholders, and client teams
• Other duties as assigned

Required Job Specifications

• Ability pass an extensive background check
• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, or other related technical field
• 3-5 years experience architecting, implementing, and maintaining scalable critical production infrastructure in the Azure Cloud
• Proficiency in DNS, Active Directory, Intune, Azure Active Directory
• Experience with Azure Sentinel, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure Policy, and Azure Firewall
• Knowledge of programming and scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, .NET
• Knowledge of cloud security controls including tenant isolation, encryption at rest, encryption in transit, key management, vulnerability assessments, application firewalls, SIEM, etc.
• Resolute dedication to unparalleled customer service is a must.

Optional/Desired Qualifications

• Experience with Office 365 GCC high, NIST 800-171, and NIST 800-53
• Knowledge of Azure Government

Having passed any of the following Microsoft Exams:

• Microsoft 365 MS-100. MS-101, MS203, MS-600
• Azure AZ104, AZ-204, AZ-305, AZ-500
• AZ-140. AZ-400, DP-200, DP-201, MS-500, SC-200, SC-300, MS-700

Having obtained any of the following certifications

• Security + (SY0-501), CE, CISSP, GCIH

Work Conditions

Work is typically performed in an office environment. Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time. Will move about designated office space. Regularly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a copy machine, and computer printer. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time. The person in this position frequently communicates with employees and clients.
