About the Role

As a Data Scientist in our Retail Strategic Health Analytics team, you'll be responsible for developing and applying advanced statistical models and algorithms to drive business decisions. You'll work closely with stakeholders across the organization to identify complex problems, develop predictive models, and communicate insights that drive action.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and apply advanced statistical models and algorithms to drive business decisions, using tools like R, Python, SAS, and SQL.
• Collaborate with business partners to understand their challenges and goals, and develop predictive models and data visualizations to drive insights.
• Perform analyses of structured and unstructured data to solve complex business problems, using techniques like machine learning and statistical analysis.
• Develop and participate in presentations and consultations to communicate analytics results and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Interact with internal and external partners and stakeholders to exchange complex information related to areas of specialization.
• Use strong programming skills to explore, analyze, and interpret large volumes of data in various forms.

Essential Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant analytic experience, with a focus on developing and applying advanced statistical models and algorithms.
• Experience programming with R or Python, and proficiency in SAS or SQL.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Physics, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to communicate technical concepts and implications to business partners.
• Anticipates and prevents problems and roadblocks before they occur.
• Strong knowledge of advanced analytics tools and languages to analyze large data sets from multiple data sources.
• Demonstrated skillability in most areas of mathematical analysis techniques, machine learning, statistical analyses, and predictive modeling, with in-depth specialization in some areas.
• Master's degree or PhD preferred.
