About the Role

In this critical role, you'll lead a team of Health and Social Services Coordinators, overseeing day-to-day clinical operations in New Jersey, and participating in business development activities. You'll manage a program or region, driving team performance, process improvement, and standardized execution of clinical decision processes, while ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and meeting the unique needs of our members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Team Management: Select, manage, develop, mentor, and support staff in your designated department or region, setting clear goals and objectives for performance management.
  • Performance Improvement: Engage in initiatives to optimize clinical workflows, promote team engagement, and continuously improve care management for health plan members.
  • Contractual Requirements: Develop an intimate understanding of contractual requirements to meet the unique needs of our members.
  • Project Management: Identify, select, structure, and prioritize projects, implementing changes to meet program requirements.
  • Workflow Processes: Ensure standardized execution of workflow processes, conducting performance audits, quality reviews, and compliance adherence.
  • Collaboration: Work with the Provider Relations team to resolve issues presented by providers.
  • Staff Development: Conduct staff training and coaching as needed, and bi-annual field visits to observe, provide feedback, and foster a positive working relationship.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Current LSW or RN License: Hold a current license in the state of New Jersey.
  • Clinical Experience: 5+ years of clinical experience.
  • Leadership Experience: 3+ years of leadership experience with responsibility for team performance.
  • MS Office Skills: Proven intermediate MS Office skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Reliable Transportation: Access to reliable transportation and the ability to travel up to 25% within your assigned territory.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly valued:

  • Master's Degree: A Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • NJ Choice Master Trainer Certification: NJ Choice Master Trainer certification.
  • Case Management Experience: Experience in case management.
  • Developmental Disabilities Experience: Experience or exposure to working with individuals with Developmental Disabilities (DD).
  • Utilization Review Experience: Experience in utilization review, concurrent review, and/or risk management.
  • Medicare/Medicaid Background: Background in Medicare/Medicaid.
