Key Responsibilities

• Accurately transcribe dictation by physicians and other healthcare professionals using electronic records software
• Meet Ackerman Cancer Center standards for timeliness, accuracy, and quality of transcription
• Utilize strong organizational and self-management skills to prioritize tasks and manage workload
• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with healthcare team members
• Stay up-to-date with current medical transcription guidelines and practices
• Maintain adequate hearing and vision acuity to process assigned work accurately and on a timely basis
• Provide an appropriate remote work-site that meets ACC standards for safety, confidentiality, electronic records storage and transmission, and daily/weekly production standards

Essential Qualifications

• 2+ years of successful Medical Transcriptionist experience in a clinical medical setting
• Proficiency in computer/word processing concepts and use, along with good knowledge of grammar, punctuation, editing, and spelling concepts
• Strong organizational and self-management skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of current medical transcription guidelines and practices
• Adequate hearing and vision acuity to process assigned work accurately and on a timely basis

Preferred Qualifications

• Medical Transcription certification from an accredited transcription school or other professional certification organization
• 1+ years' experience in an oncology and/or radiation medical environment
• Proficiency with Mosaic EMR and Winscribe Speech Recognition Technology software
