School Social Worker (Remote)
Parallel is hiring remote School Social Workers to join our nationwide team of dedicated clinicians. In this role, you'll play a key part in helping students succeed by delivering social work services and working with mental health professionals on psycho-educational evaluations. What You’ll Be Doing
- Provide both direct and indirect social work services to students.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to develop individualized treatment plans or IEPs with social work-specific objectives.
- Offer guidance to school staff on cultural, family, and social influences that impact student behavior.
- Conduct mental health assessments and develop behavioral support strategies.
- Support parents and caregivers to help students adjust to school settings.
- Assist with behavior management, train staff, and provide hands-on support as needed.
What You’ll Need
- LMSW-CC
- Full Approval for School Social Worker or Professional School Social Worker Certificate
- At least one year of full-time, on-site school social work experience (not including internships)
- Prior remote social work experience is a plus
- Familiarity with the National School Social Work Practice Model
- Experience with MTSS, counseling, and psycho-social evaluations
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with diverse student populations
- Comfortable using virtual meeting platforms for tele-health services
- A secure, private home workspace with a dependable computer, webcam, and internet connection
- Availability during standard school hours (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–3:00 PM); ideally at least 15 hours/week
- Multilingual abilities are a bonus!
