Job Summary

The Home Depot Customer Support Specialist works as a customer care expert to help build, manage, and operate an active and diverse community of local service professionals across various trades. The successful candidate will be responsible for educating customers and service professionals about the benefits of using and interacting with Home Depot's services. This role involves on-boarding service professionals, ensuring they have a comprehensive understanding of all tools, resources, and processes to achieve a high rate of customer satisfaction. The Customer Support Specialist will also communicate directly with customers to facilitate quotes and close sales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to customers and service professionals via inbound/outbound calls, email, and chat systems (90% of the role)
  • Report customer interactions using electronic software tools and ensure end-to-end support, research, and follow-up are completed to guarantee the best effort in matching professional service organizations with customers (10% of the role)
  • On-board new service professionals, ensuring they have a comprehensive understanding of all tools, resources, and processes
  • Communicate directly with customers to facilitate quotes and close sales
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer issues and improve overall customer experience
  • Utilize electronic software tools to manage and track customer interactions and sales performance

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Proficiency in electronic software tools and systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in customer service or sales
  • Knowledge of home improvement or related industries
  • Experience with CRM software and other electronic tools
  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills
