Job Overview We are seeking a friendly and efficient Team Member/Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and the ability to handle transactions accurately while providing a positive shopping experience. As a Team Member/Cashier, you will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction by assisting with purchases, answering questions, and promoting additional products.

Duties

• Process customer transactions efficiently using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly and assisting them with their needs.
• Help customers locate products within the grocery store and provide information on promotions or specials.
• Upsell additional items to enhance the customer’s shopping experience.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization at the checkout area and surrounding spaces.
• Adhere to food safety and handling guidelines to ensure compliance with health regulations.
• Assist with bussing duties as needed, ensuring a tidy environment for customers.
• Manage time effectively to minimize wait times for customers during busy periods.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a grocery store or food service environment is preferred but not required.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and help customers with inquiries.
• Familiarity with POS systems is an advantage.
• Knowledge of food safety practices is beneficial.
• Excellent time management skills to handle peak hours efficiently.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills related to cash handling and customer engagement.

Pay: $16.00 - $16.25 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
