Job Summary

As an Information Investigator III, you'll be responsible for spearheading ad-hoc item analysis and developing foundational data solutions to better understand our Walmart clients. You'll work closely with our Item Supervisory team to extend our suite of client-centric products by identifying and assessing new item opportunities and proposing adaptable solutions. You'll have access to our vast global data, enabling you to conduct in-depth analysis and drive business decisions that impact our organization at scale.

Key Responsibilities

* Spearhead ad-hoc item analysis to develop foundational data solutions that better understand our Walmart clients

• Work closely with our Item Supervisory team to extend our suite of client-centric products by identifying and assessing new item opportunities and proposing adaptable solutions
• Conduct in-depth analysis of large datasets using statistical methods to test theories, identify patterns, and make predictions
• Develop and implement data-driven solutions to business problems using programming languages such as Python
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and management, to provide data insights and drive business decisions
• Ensure data accuracy and quality through meticulous attention to detail and identification of irregularities or errors in data
• Communicate findings, both written and orally, to non-technical stakeholders, including creating dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI/Scene/Succeed
• Develop answers to business problems using data-driven approaches
• Understand the ethical implications of data use, storage, and analysis, particularly concerning privacy and security

Requirements

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to extract insights from large datasets

• Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, Python, and others
• Experience in data analysis and visualization, with a focus on business outcomes
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field

Nice to Have

* Experience working with retail or financial industry data

• Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Power BI/Scene/Succeed
• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and tools
• Experience with data quality and data governance
