Job Summary

As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for:

  • Working on computers and answering phones to intake information in a busy environment
  • Helping patients who may be very ill or worried, and providing emotional support and guidance
  • Collecting patient and insurance information, and navigating complex health plans and coverage
  • Working quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment, often on your feet assisting patients complete their registration
  • Building rapport with patients and clinicians, and providing exceptional customer service

Key Responsibilities

* Intake patient information accurately and efficiently, using multiple screens and programs

  • Answer phones and respond to patient inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to patients who may be experiencing anxiety or stress
  • Collect and verify patient and insurance information, and navigate complex health plans and coverage
  • Work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment, often on your feet assisting patients complete their registration
  • Build rapport with patients and clinicians, and provide exceptional customer service

Requirements

* High School Diploma or GED

  • Excellent customer service experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, often on your feet
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to navigate complex health plans and coverage
  • Basic computer skills and typing ability

Preferred Qualifications

* Previous experience in a healthcare setting

  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance plans
  • Ability to work in a team environment and provide support to colleagues
