Appointment Scheduling Specialist – Heart & Vascular Specialists Clinic – Full-Time, Days Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location: REMOTE

  • Remote work hours: Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday thru Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm
  • Must be able to work from home in a designated work area that will not be disturbed and can focus on daily tasks
  • Equipment will be provided by THPG

Training Requirements:

  • Training location: 1300 West Terrell Avenue, Fort Worth, TX 76104
  • Training work hours: 8:00am – 4:30pm
  • Training timeframe will depend on the individual
  • Training will be held in the office until training is completed and will then go remote

Here’s What You Need

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
  • 2 years Medical Scheduling experience in Healthcare environment (strongly preferred)
  • EPIC experience (strongly preferred)
  • Requires strong attention to details.
  • Requires strong customer skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism.
  • A team player who handles multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment.

What You Will Do

  • Delivers care to patients utilizing the Appointment Scheduling Specialist Process
  • Schedules all inpatient and outpatient surgery and medical procedures, tests and studies by the physician.
  • Responsible for answering phone calls and scheduling patient appointments, conducting patient pre-certification to ensure coverage for appointments and medical care, scheduling tests, procedures, and referral appointments.
  • Communicates with patients regarding appointments and instructions for procedures and tests and may collect fees such as co-pays / co-insurance, gathers insurance information and patient personal data.
  • Demonstrates positive professional customer service in all patient, staff, and visitor contacts, and performs other duties as assigned.
