Job Overview

We're seeking an experienced and compassionate Virtual School-Based Speech Language Pathologist to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our remote team, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students and families across North Carolina. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in supervising staff and students, and develop in-service training programs for continuing staff development.
  • Respond to requests for professional information/advice and refer complex matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and provide speech and language services to students.
  • Conduct assessments, develop and implement treatment plans, and provide progress monitoring and reporting to parents and educators.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in speech-language pathology and participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and educators to ensure seamless delivery of services and promote a positive learning environment.
  • Participate in virtual team meetings and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that support the delivery of high-quality services.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following qualifications and skills:

Essential Qualifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in North Carolina.
  • ASHA Certification in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
  • Master's degree in Speech and Communication or a related field.
  • At least two years of experience working as a school-based SLP, preferably in a virtual or remote setting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with students with diverse needs and backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices in speech-language pathology and ability to integrate technology into therapy sessions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and educators.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a virtual team, with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
