About the Virtual Campus
Our Virtual Campus offers a range of math course offerings, allowing students to access highly accomplished instructors like you in a virtual classroom setting. With small class sizes and real-time video conferencing via Zoom, our students will have the opportunity to engage with you and their peers in a dynamic and interactive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
As a Virtual Upper-Level Math Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching enthusiastic middle and high school students in our online classrooms. You will use our curriculum to teach participation-oriented classes that focus on instruction and developing skills, not on rote memorization. You will work in small classes (average size 12) with top-performing students who are passionate about learning and motivated to succeed.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A solid academic background in mathematics, with a bachelor's degree in a STEM field (master's degree or higher preferred)
- Experience using Zoom or similar video conferencing software and comfort managing a classroom in a virtual setting
- Experience teaching or tutoring students at the middle to high school level, with some experience teaching contest math preferred
- Strong math content knowledge and the ability to foster a classroom environment that encourages critical thinking and problem-solving
