About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst to join our team in a remote full-time capacity. As a Senior Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in driving business success by analyzing and interpreting complex data sets, identifying trends, and developing actionable insights. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, business intelligence, and data science, to design and implement data-driven solutions that meet the needs of our customers and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Directs the delivery of Walgreens Healthcare data and insights initiatives, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to support business decision-making.
• Develops and maintains long-term and ad-hoc data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) and data warehousing processes to meet Walgreens Healthcare reporting and analytics requirements.
• Designs, develops, and deploys layered data sets and data pipelines to support business intelligence and analytics projects.
• Develops data governance and pre-processing principles for populating accurate and reliable data models attached to report-specific working tables for both business intelligence and pre-defined reporting arrangements.
• Applies data extraction, transformation, and loading best practices to integrate large data sets from various internal Walgreens production system sources and external documents.
• Performs data profiling and data analysis across internal production systems, manually maintained data, and standard healthcare data collections (e.g., patient segmentation, clinical cases, pharmacy claims, HEDIS ECDS documents).
• Develops internal tools for automation of all development-related activities (data handling, QA, data validation, etc.).

Essential Capabilities

• Proven hands-on experience in writing and tuning SQL-based ETL/ELT scripts.
• Experience designing and delivering intelligently isolated data sets using ETL/ELT services, including but not limited to, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, or Snowflake.
• Experience providing technical leadership and presenting instrument-agnostic semantic data layer enhancements connected with business intelligence technology platforms like PowerBI, Tableau, or Looker.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with technical teams, internal stakeholders, clients, and vendor partners.
• At least 2 years of experience contributing to business decisions in the workplace.
• At least 2 years of direct management, aberrant leadership, and/or cross-functional team leadership.
• Able to travel up to/no less than 5% of the ideal time for business purposes (within state and out of state).
