Key Responsibilities
As a Phone and Chat Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Managing large volumes of inbound and outbound calls in a timely and efficient manner
- Handling multiple chat channels simultaneously, providing prompt and accurate responses to customer inquiries
- Following established communication scripts to ensure consistency and quality in customer interactions
- Identifying customer needs, clarifying information, researching and providing solutions and/or alternatives
- Accessing company and client resources to accurately handle calls and provide exceptional customer service
- Performing data entry and customer service skills to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks
- Navigating online resources efficiently to verify nurse credentials and facilitate shift assignments
- Working requests/records received for those requesting to sign up for a shift, identifying customer needs and researching to determine if request has necessary credentials
- Demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to skillfully change from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure
- Maintaining punctuality and attendance at all scheduled times, with a positive and professional demeanor in all customer interactions
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- 1 year of customer service or customer support experience
- 1 year of previous call center or office background experience required
- Technical savvy, with the ability to navigate online resources efficiently
- Previous remote work from home experience a plus
- Quick learner and able to work independently
- Type 35 words per minute accurately
- Strong phone and verbal communication skills, along with active listening
- A background check applicable with state and federal laws
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Previous experience in a healthcare or medical setting
- Familiarity with online verification systems and credentialing processes
- Experience with data entry and customer service software
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits
As a Phone and Chat Specialist at blithequark, you can expect:
- Starting pay of $14/hour, with shift differential and possible increase after 90 days pending attendance and performance
- Paid training of 3 weeks in length, from 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday
- Full-time status with 40 hours per week
- Equipment provided, including a laptop or desktop, USB headset, and high-speed internet connection
