Job Summary
As an Experienced Data Operations and Analytics Engineering Specialist, you will play a critical role in driving information ingestion into our business intelligence data warehouse. You will be responsible for executing best practice data modeling strategies to deliver space-relevant information models, creating and upholding data quality standards and administration strategies, and driving execution improvement and flexibility of data plan and design strategies. Your expertise will ensure that the design stage fully supports the broader analytical design team's needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Drive information ingestion into our business intelligence data warehouse
- Execute best practice data modeling strategies to deliver space-relevant information models
- Create and uphold data quality standards and administration strategies
- Drive execution improvement and flexibility of data plan and design strategies
- Ensure that the design stage fully supports the broader analytical design team's needs
- Support cross-functional team collaboration on data projects
- Manage external relationships on behalf of data projects
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize data needs and opportunities
- Develop and maintain data quality metrics and reports
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution
- At least 2 years of experience in data/experimental design in a private, public, government, or military setting
- Strong understanding of data analysis concepts, statistical analysis, and data visualization
- Knowledge of coordination tools like IICS, Wind current, Oozie, or DBt for workflow management
- Experience with big data technologies and distributed computing systems
- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to work with large and complex data sets
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse teams and partners
Preferred Qualifications
* Master's degree or higher in a related field
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js
- Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and techniques
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms like AWS or Azure
- Strong understanding of data governance and data quality principles
- Experience with data warehousing and business intelligence tools like Informatica or Oracle
