Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Tutor and Cognitive Skills Coach to join our team of dedicated professionals. As a Tutor and Cognitive Skills Coach, you will work one-on-one with students to deliver our curriculum and improve their cognitive and academic skills. This is an exciting opportunity to work with students K-12 as well as adults, applying principles of neuroscience to learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver our curriculum to students to improve their cognitive and academic skills, including memory, executive functioning, and problem-solving, as well as content areas of reading, writing, and math.
• Work one-on-one with students to identify and address their learning challenges and disabilities.
• Develop and implement customized coaching and tutoring programs to meet the unique needs of each student.
• Use video conferencing to deliver services to students nationally and internationally.
• Collaborate with other coaches and staff to ensure high-quality services and support.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on best practices and new research.

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field (no exceptions will be made).
• Teaching certificate (current, expired, or substitute) or strong background and previous experience in education.
• Ability to work at least 2-4 times per week or a minimum of 16 hours per week.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including daytime, nighttime, and weekends.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• High-speed internet and a dedicated workspace.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience teaching or tutoring students with learning disabilities or challenges.
• Knowledge of cognitive training and academic coaching principles and practices.
• Experience working with students of diverse ages and ability levels.
• Strong background in education, including curriculum development and implementation.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation rate, starting at $20.00 per hour, plus opportunities for pay increase through our Coach Career Path training program. We also offer a range of benefits, including a bonus after first six months, paid Continuing Education (CE Credits) / Ongoing Training, paid lesson planning and preparation time, and a benefits package for full-time employees.
