Summary: Goldbelt Apex LLC seeks a highly experienced Senior Audiologist to spearhead cutting-edge research and innovation within the Defense Health Agency Hearing Center of Excellence. This opportunity will allow you to pioneer the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of hearing and balance injuries.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Serve as Principal/Associate Investigator on hearing health studies and/or as a subject matter expert (SME) and project manager on assigned studies.
  • Develop, execute, and/or maintain Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), Memorandums of Agreement (MOAs), Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADAs), Data Sharing Agreements (DSAs), Institutional Agreements for IRB Reviews (IAIRs), Individual Investigator Agreements (IIAs).
  • Assist with the completion of Human Research Protection Office (HRPO) reviews, scientific reviews, IRB continuing reviews, and IRB audits.
  • Author/co-author peer-reviewed journal manuscripts, conference posters, podium presentations, Congressional reports, and/or newsletter articles pertaining to hearing and balance health.
  • Coordinate and foster Department of Defense (DOD) and Veterans Affairs partnerships via official working groups or/or collaborative hearing and balance initiatives.
  • Serve as a SME in Audiology with experience in various hearing health prevention and surveillance strategies.
  • Supervise, lead, and/or conduct hearing and balance research and quality improvement/process improvement programs to support the mission of the Hearing Center of Excellence.

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Expertise in audiological assessments
  • Expertise in hearing loss prevention and surveillance strategies
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development Minimum Qualifications:
  • Doctorate in Audiology or Hearing Sciences
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence – Audiology (CCC-A) or American Board of Audiology (ABA) certification
  • Biomedical Investigators and Research Study Team certification by the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI Program)
  • Minimum twenty (20) years of experience in audiology encompassing clinical audiology, hearing conservation, and research audiology
  • Experience in senior leadership and consultant roles
  • Experience as a Principal Investigator for an Institutional Review Board (IRB)-approved protocol
  • Experience in DOD audiology hearing standards, hearing protection programs, human factors engineering/human systems integration/acoustic engineering, and hearing conservation program management.
  • Experience with boothless audiometry systems and hearing protector fit-testing systems
  • US Citizen (able to obtain SECRET if needed) Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $72.11 to $76.92 per hour. At Goldbelt, we value and reward our team's dedication and hard work.
