Key Responsibilities

As an Experienced Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for:

  • Completing daily tasks and balancing features related to checking processing, object processing, direct bills, and budget transfers
  • Coordinating with contributors, vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other institutions to resolve issues and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Assisting various departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and accounting standard ledger balancing
  • Working member cases and sports assigned, following established guidelines and procedures to ensure strict compliance with NACHA regulations and Federal Banking laws
  • Processing mortgage bills, multi-account and member deposits, credit card bills, and other exams, including IRA, financial ruin, and payoff exams
  • Reviewing, examining, and approving Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other imaged-enabled products
  • Logging, studying, and making important GL, account changes, and/or returns
  • Processing Stop Pays and Check Batching
  • Completing daily balancing and department closing
  • Obtaining information from contributors for the timely and correct processing of international and domestic budget switch requests
  • Researching and affirming incoming and outgoing budget switch information
  • Communicating with vendors to facilitate budget transfers
  • Understanding and being familiar with outgoing and incoming budget switch regulations
  • Depositing check returns, studying member re-exams on draft changes, processing member exams, affirming contributors for outgoing budget transfers, and Federal Reserve verifying and releasing budget transfers
  • Completing daily processing of workflows associated with overdue returns, supply of receipts, overseas collections, and prison fees

Essential and Preferred Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school degree or GED
  • Intermediate Excel and Word experience
  • Previous customer/member service experience (preferred)
  • Previous banking or Credit Union experience (preferred)
  • Episys/Symitar and processing wires experience (preferred)

Skills and Competencies

To excel in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) through work experience or education and hands-on use
  • Ability to work prolonged hours in aid of business needs
  • Ability to exercise excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple responsibilities, and function as an integral part of a team
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations and review data
  • Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet time limits under high-pressure conditions
  • Ability to cross-train and perform any position assigned within the department
  • Ability to interact professionally with all personnel and contributors
  • Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision
  • Ability to self-motivate with strong employer skills and ability for interest to detail
  • Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet time limits
  • Ability to maintain excellent performance and attendance
  • Must pass relevant blithequark and Credit Union pre-employment compliance exams
