As a member of our team, you will be part of the Payments and Digital Strategy crew at blithequark's Credit Union. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure seamless processing of various financial transactions, including check processing, direct deposits, and budget transfers. You will work closely with internal teams, external vendors, and financial institutions to resolve customer inquiries, process transactions, and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

* Complete daily tasks related to account processing, including check processing, direct deposits, and budget transfers

  • Coordinate with internal teams, external vendors, and financial institutions to resolve customer inquiries and process transactions
  • Assist various departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and accounting standard ledger balancing
  • Work member cases/assignments and follow established guidelines and procedures to ensure strict compliance with NACHA regulations and guidelines and Federal Banking laws
  • Process mortgage payments, multi-account and member deposits, credit card payments, and other exams, including IRA, bankruptcy, and payoff exams
  • Review, examine, and approve Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other imaged-enabled products
  • Log, review, and make necessary GL, account changes, and/or returns
  • Process Stop Pays and Check Batching
  • Complete daily balancing and department closing
  • Obtain information from customers for timely and accurate processing of domestic and international budget transfer requests
  • Research and verify incoming and outgoing budget transfer information
  • Communicate with vendors to process budget transfers
  • Understand and be familiar with outgoing and incoming budget transfer laws
  • Deposit check returns, review member re-exams on draft changes, process member exams, verify customers for outgoing budget transfers, and Federal Reserve verifying and releasing budget transfers
  • Complete daily processing of workflows associated with overdue returns, supply of receipts, international collections, and legal fees

Essential and Preferred Qualifications

* Minimum Qualifications: + High school degree or GED + Intermediate Excel and Word experience

  • Preferred Qualifications:

+ Previous customer/member service experience + Previous banking or Credit Union experience + Episys/Symitar and processing wires experience

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

* Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) through work experience or education and hands-on use of the software

  • Ability to work prolonged hours in support of business needs
  • Ability to exercise excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple responsibilities, and function as an integral part of a team
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations and review data
  • Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet deadlines under high-pressure conditions
  • Ability to cross-train and perform any position assigned within the department
  • Ability to interact professionally with all personnel and customers
  • Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision
  • Ability to self-motivate with strong employer skills and ability for attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet deadlines
  • Ability to maintain excellent performance and attendance
  • Must pass relevant blithequark and Credit Union pre-employment compliance exams
