Veeva Technical Architect (Quality Cloud Expert)

IntroductionJoin IBM's Veeva Practice team as an Architect & Engineer for Veeva Quality Cloud, where you will be a key leader in shaping and proposing innovative solutions leveraging the power of Veeva and IBM's Consulting AI and Asset based capabilities. You will work closely with clients to understand their unique challenges and develop compelling, tailored solutions that drive digital transformation within healthcare & life sciences organizations.In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor, combining your deep technical expertise with a strong understanding of quality management and GxP compliance as part of healthcare & life sciences client needs and procurement processes. You will be instrumental in the sales cycle, from initial client engagement and requirements gathering through solution design, demonstration, and proposal development. This position requires a blend of architectural vision, hands-on technical skill, and excellent communication abilities to articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.Your Role And Responsibilities

  • Partner with IBM account teams and clients to understand their mission, business processes, and technical requirements.
  • Lead technical discovery sessions and workshops with clients to refine requirements and validate solution designs
  • Design scalable Veeva Quality Cloud solutions aligned with business needs, regulatory requirements (e.g., 21 CFR Part 11) and Veeva best practices.
  • Lead acceleration of the development and manufacturing of high-quality products to a greater number of patients with Quality Cloud across content management, training, Quality Management System (QMS) and QC lab solutions (LIMS).
  • Architect integrations between Veeva Quality Cloud and enterprise systems (e.g., using APIs and middleware).
  • Configure lifecycles, workflows, document types, security roles, and metadata models across multiple Vaults.
  • Define technical roadmaps, evaluate new Vault releases, and lead the adoption of new features.

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Veeva Quality Cloud including QMS, QualityDocs, Training and other modules, with at least two end-to-end QMS implementations.
  • In-depth knowledge of life sciences regulatory frameworks (e.g., GxP, 21 CFR Part 11), MLR processes, and experience supporting compliant document/data migrations.
  • Experience with workflow and lifecycle management workflows for quality processes, such as managing deviations, CAPAs (Corrective and Preventive Actions), and change control.
  • Integrations with other systems such as Veeva RIM, Veeva Safety and third-party applications.
  • Experience working with or selling to Healthcare & Life Sciences clients.
  • Vault Loader and data import using data loading tools to migrate and manage large datasets related to quality records, reports, and training assignments.
  • Must have a proven track record meeting with senior management and executives as the subject-matter expert.
  • Must be able to take complex client and vendor concepts and articulate them to audiences of varying perception levels.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and experience with at least one major cloud platform (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a dispersed team.
  • Prior Consulting experience.
  • Veeva Certifications: Vault Platform Administrator, QualityDocs, QMS, or equivalent.
Preferred Technical And Professional Experience
  • Self-starter that can lead colleagues and customers through complexity to get results.
  • Additional Veeva certifications.
  • Additional experience in the following technical disciplines: Data Warehousing, Web Services, ETL, SQL, Force.com, FTP, and Batch CSV integrations, and data migrations.
  • Experience with other relevant technologies and integration patterns such as Salesforce, LIMS, etc.
  • Familiarity with healthcare-specific compliance and security requirements like GxP and HIPAA.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies.
