If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join the Web Systems Engineering team within the infrastructure department of blithequark as a contract system engineer.

Our team of 29 engineers, including 2 Beacon Hill consultants, is dedicated to delivering top-notch solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients. We are currently undergoing a significant transformation, switching from vRa to a more open-source focus with Ansible, and we need talented individuals like you to help us achieve our goals.

Job Summary

As a contract system engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting the automation development and Jenkins pipeline support for Windows OS provisioning. You will work closely with our team to design, develop, and implement automation scripts using Ansible, Terraform, and other open-source technologies. Your expertise in PowerShell and GitHub will be invaluable in helping us streamline our automation processes and improve our overall efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

* Design, develop, and implement automation scripts using Ansible, Terraform, and other open-source technologies

  • Support Jenkins pipeline development and automation for Windows OS provisioning
  • Collaborate with the Web Systems Engineering team to identify areas for automation and implement solutions
  • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation and scripting
  • Work with GitHub to manage and version control automation scripts and other code
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members on automation and scripting best practices
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure high-quality code is delivered
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in automation and scripting technologies

Essential Qualifications

* 5 years of experience in system engineering with a strong background in Windows Server administration

  • Proficiency in PowerShell and GitHub, with experience in public cloud automation (Azure/GCP)
  • 4 years of experience writing scripts with open-source technologies, preferably Ansible and Terraform
  • Proven track record of supporting automation for Jenkins pipeline and Ansible playbooks for Windows OS provisioning
  • Ability to show examples of script development via GitHub or work sample

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with Ansible and Terraform

  • Knowledge of Jenkins pipeline development and automation
  • Experience with version control systems, such as Git
  • Strong understanding of Windows Server administration and PowerShell scripting
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms, such as Azure and GCP
