Key Responsibilities

As an Independent Contractor, you'll be responsible for providing virtual customer service to our clients, which may include:

  • Conducting inbound and outbound customer service calls with customers
  • Creatively problem-solving to resolve customer issues
  • Quickly assessing customer needs and providing sound solutions
  • Providing a high-level of customer service
  • Documenting details of all calls and customer interactions
  • Managing through multiple systems, programs, and screens simultaneously

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Experience handling inbound and outbound calls
  • Minimum 1 year of customer service experience
  • Computer skills, including navigating multiple tabs, windows, and systems
  • Basic typing skills
  • Strong customer service and written skills
  • Comfortable empathizing and remaining patient with difficult callers

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following skills and qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Previous experience in a call center or customer service environment
  • Familiarity with multiple systems and software applications
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

As an Independent Contractor, you'll be responsible for your own tax obligations and expenses. However, you'll have the opportunity to earn a competitive income based on your performance and the number of calls you complete. Our programs offer varying pay structures, including performance-based pay and incentives.

Application and Certification Process

To become an Independent Contractor with blithequark, you'll need to:

  • Complete an application to join our virtual team
  • Pass a background and credit check (with a $45 processing fee)
  • Sign an Independent Contractor Agreement
  • Complete a W9 form
  • Meet any additional requirements specific to the program you choose

Program Metrics Requirements

Some programs may require Independent Contractors to meet specific metrics, such as:

  • Providing services above posted minimum standards to maintain eligibility
  • Meeting performance targets and metrics

Availability

As an Independent Contractor, you'll have the flexibility to choose your own schedule and work at times that suit you best. Our clients' call availability will vary, but generally, calls are available daily from 8am to 8pm EST, with some clients offering 24/7 call availability.
