Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented HR Payroll Specialist to join our remote team. As an HR Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end payroll process for our employees across various states in the USA. This is a work-from-home position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic, remote work environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll systems, compliance, and HR policies, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees. Key Responsibilities:

  • * Process bi-weekly, monthly, or other payroll cycles for all employees in a timely and accurate manner.
  • * Ensure payroll compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws, and regulations.
  • * Maintain employee records related to payroll, including deductions, benefits, and bonuses.
  • * Work closely with HR and finance teams to resolve payroll discrepancies and inquiries.
  • * Calculate overtime, commissions, and bonuses according to company policies.
  • * Administer benefits, including health, dental, and retirement plans, and process payroll deductions.
  • * Prepare and file required payroll reports, tax filings, and year-end forms, such as W-2s and 1099s.
  • * Assist in the development and improvement of payroll policies and procedures.
  • * Respond to employee payroll-related questions and resolve issues promptly.
  • * Stay updated with changes in payroll laws, tax regulations, and HR best practices.
  • Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • * Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar HR-related role, preferably in a remote setting.
  • * In-depth knowledge of payroll software and systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks).
  • * Familiarity with federal and state labor laws and tax regulations.
  • * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
  • * High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • * Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • * Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.
  • Experience:
  • * At least 2-3 years of experience in payroll processing or HR administration.
  • * Experience with multi-state payroll processing is highly desirable.
  • * Experience working in a remote or virtual team is a plus.
  • Working Hours:
  • * This is a full-time, remote position with flexible working hours.
  • * The ideal candidate will be expected to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
  • * Occasional overtime may be required during peak payroll periods.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • * Knowledge of payroll best practices and compliance with applicable laws.
  • * Strong numerical aptitude and understanding of payroll-related calculations.
  • * Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • * Excellent time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • * Ability to adapt to new payroll software and technologies.
