Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you'll be responsible for:

  • Providing exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving issues in a positive and approachable manner
  • Maintaining a clean, well-stocked store environment that meets our high standards
  • Assisting with the unloading of merchandise from delivery trucks, organizing merchandise, and transporting it from the stockroom to the sales floor
  • Independently stocking shelves and recovering merchandise in the store
  • Accurately handling customer funds and processing transactions using our POS system
  • Remaining constantly aware of customer activity to ensure a safe and secure shopping environment
  • Performing all other duties as assigned to maintain an effective and profitable store operation

Position Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, with the ability to follow directives and interpret retail operational documents as assigned
  • Previous experience working in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environments is preferred
  • The ability to regularly lift up to 40lbs (and occasionally, up to 55lbs) from floor level to above shoulder height
  • The ability to meet the demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • A flexible, full-time schedule that includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
