Job Overview

The successful candidate will serve as a vital member of our SLF call center team, acting as the first point of contact for individuals reporting SLF sightings or seeking additional information. The role will involve responding to customer inquiries, resolving issues, and providing support via phone, email, video conference, or regular mail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain the overall operation and professional image of our customer-focused call center, ensuring high-quality service delivery to all stakeholders.
  • Respond to and resolve customer questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner, referring complex issues to relevant departments or units as necessary.
  • Investigate unusual situations or concerns, assisting in problem resolution and ensuring that all customer interactions are handled with empathy and understanding.
  • Operate various equipment and computer systems, including proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, to manage customer data and provide accurate information.
  • Collaborate with the college SLF call center manager to meet stakeholder needs, develop working-level knowledge of the Spotted Lanternfly, and contribute to the development of resources and materials for external stakeholders.
  • Assist with required reporting systems, helping concerned citizens adapt to the presence of the SLF and reducing the economic impact of the invasive insect.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with Spanish language skills highly valued. You will have a proven track record of providing exceptional customer service, with the ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues, clientele, and diverse populations.
