About the Role: Customer Service Representative

As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will be the face of our company, interacting with customers daily, and working collaboratively with a fun, energetic team to achieve daily goals. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Greeting customers, operating the register, and making purchase suggestions to drive sales and customer satisfaction
  • Working in various areas of the store, both inside and out, to maintain our high standards for store appearance and provide fast, friendly service to our customers
  • Participating in our food program and other initiatives to drive business results and customer engagement
  • Providing regular and predictable onsite attendance to ensure seamless store operations
  • Collaborating with colleagues to accomplish daily tasks, share ideas, and solve problems creatively

What You Bring: Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

To excel as a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you should possess:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, think quickly, and make sound decisions
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a creative approach to resolving customer complaints and concerns
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a register
  • Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry up to 30 pounds, and perform other physical tasks as required

While not essential, it's great if you have:

  • Retail and customer service experience, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer experiences
  • Sales associate or cashiering experience, with a strong understanding of sales principles and customer needs
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
  • Motivation to advance in your career, with a desire to take on new challenges and responsibilities
  • Willingness to learn and have fun, with a positive attitude and a passion for teamwork and collaboration

Physical Requirements: Working in a Retail Environment

As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you may be required to:

  • Stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours, with regular breaks to rest and recharge
  • Lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds from ground to overhead, up to 30 minutes in a shift
  • Occasionally lift and/or carry up to 60 pounds from ground to waist level, with assistance from colleagues as needed
  • Push/pull with arms up to a force of 20 pounds, with proper technique and safety precautions
  • Bend at the waist with some twisting, up to one hour a shift, with regular stretching and exercise to maintain flexibility
  • Grasp, reach, and manipulate objects with hands, requiring eye-hand coordination and dexterity
