Media Sales - Account Executive (T - Remote)

(This is for a RevPilots' client) Who We Are Our client has collective of technical newsletters on startups, software engineering, AI, cybersecurity, marketing, product management, and more, with over 6 million subscribers. Their mission is to build the paper of record for the tech industry, the trusted source that people who work in tech rely on to inform them about important trends and developments.

About the Role

  • Own a target account list and develop account plans for winning and expanding business with enterprise companies and marketing agencies
  • Lead complex negotiations with target enterprise companies and marketing agencies
  • Develop prospecting and outbound strategies to create and nurture opportunities
  • Lead and contribute to team projects to develop and refine our sales process

About You

  • 2+ years of B2B sales experience in a quota-carrying closer role with a track record of top performance in the media industry
  • Proven ability to close deals and previous performance as a top performer on your team
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to operate in a highly ambiguous, fast-paced collaborative environment
  • Existing relationships with marketers and B2B marketing agencies are a big plus

  • Salary: $60,000-$75,000 | OTE $120,00-$150,000 (DOE)
  • The comp plan is 50/50 base/variable with a 2x accelerator on a quarterly commission plan. You will get a quota that reps actually hit!

You're not a good fit for this role if you:

  • Have only worked in B2B SaaS and have no media sales experience. This is business critical.
  • Rely solely on BDRs to build pipeline. You will have to outline how you prospect.
  • Enjoy large teams and that "in-person group feeling" at work. We are a remote company.
  • Are not a top performer in a lean sales team. We will ask you where you're ranked.
  • Don't have much knowledge or experience of the tech ecosystem. We will ask.
