Who we are looking for? Fieldwire is looking for a strong Frontend engineer to join our team of talented product engineers. As a Frontend engineer, you will build the core features and experiences to support a rapidly growing company and user base. Our applications are built using modern and reliable tools, including TypeScript, Angular, and Bootstrap and are architected for simplicity, reliability and performance. The Frontend team at Fieldwire builds and maintains the web app used by our customers. Our engineering teams are multi-functional, co-located with product and design. Fieldwire’s apps are mission critical for the construction teams that use Fieldwire everyday to save time and money on the jobsite. What you’ll be doing? The primary responsibilities for our next Frontend Engineer will be to:

  • Design, build, and maintain our customer facing and internal web apps
  • Debug production issues working closely with our support teams
  • Participate in technical architecture discussions and help drive technical decisions
  • Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes
  • Collaborate closely with our Product team to come up with innovative solutions

Our Frontend Engineers are responsible for developing the highest quality customer facing products. As a member of the Frontend team, you will work closely with technical and product leadership to build powerful features for the Fieldwire platform. Some of the challenges you will face are:

  • Building new features for daily reports, inspections and critical construction documentation
  • Keeping our app up to date with the latest and greatest frameworks and tools
  • Intelligently loading and displaying complex data in real time

We’re looking for you to have the following skills and experiences:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years client-side JavaScript/TypeScript experience
  • Expert with modern browser technology
  • Expert building responsive layouts using HTML and CSS
  • Expert writing clean, well-tested, and modular code
  • Strong UX and design sense

  • Experience with Angular, AngularJS, React/Redux or similar framework
  • Experience with Bootstrap and CSS preprocessors like LESS/SASS
  • Experience with web infrastructure: Build tools, Observability, Web Performance
  • Experience with CI/CD and AWS ecosystem
  • Experience working with complex and data-intensive single page apps
  • Experience doing large scale code migrations or framework updates

Compensation

The estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows: $145,000 - $170,000. The salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this job in the US. Minimums and Maximums may vary based on location. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors such as your skills, qualifications and experience. In addition to the salary you may be eligible for a corporate bonus which can range up to 20%. Where is the job located?
