Integration/Performance/Functional Tester
Job Description:
- Integration Testers: Design, develop, and execute integration test plans, test cases, and test scripts
- Integration Testers: Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other QA team members
- Integration Testers: Perform end-to-end testing of software systems, APIs, and third-party integrations
- Integration Testers: Identify, document, and track defects using issue tracking tools (e.g., JIRA)
- Integration Testers: Validate data flow and system interactions across multiple platforms
- Integration Testers: Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Integration Testers: Provide feedback and recommendations for improving system architecture and integration design
- Performance Testers: Lead and execute complex testing efforts across enterprise systems
- Performance Testers: Prepare and execute test plans, automate test cases, document results, and participate in peer reviews and defect resolution
- Performance Testers: Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures, provide training and knowledge transfer to team members
- Performance Testers: Work independently under general guidance and may coordinate or mentor other testers
- Performance Testers: Work with IBM Rational tools, Selenium, JMeter, LoadRunner, Informatica, Control-M, and platforms such as Windows, Linux, UNIX, and mainframe environments
- Functional Testers: Design, develop, and execute comprehensive functional test plans, test cases, and test scripts for software applications and systems
- Functional Testers: Perform unit testing, system testing, user acceptance testing, and regression testing
- Functional Testers: Collaborate with developers, business analysts, integration testers, and other QA team members
- Functional Testers: Validate that software applications meet specified functional requirements and business objectives
- Functional Testers: Execute manual and automated functional tests across various platforms and environments
- Functional Testers: Identify, document, and track functional defects using issue tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail)
- Functional Testers: Participate in requirements review sessions to ensure testability and completeness
Requirements:
- US Citizenship is required
- Must have pre-existing IRS clearance
- Must be able to support an eastern time zone work schedule (8am-5pm)
- If within commuting distance to a Guidehouse or IRS office, you will be asked to work from one of those facilities
- Bachelor’s degree or Additional four (4) years experience can be used in lieu of degree
- At least 2-4 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on integration testing (for Integration Testers)
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies
- Experience with testing tools like Jmeter, Postman, SoapUI, Selenium, Cucumber, and other testing frameworks
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab)
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) is a plus
- Experience with Oracle, DB2, or SQL Server for data-driven testing
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- 2-4 years of experience in software quality assurance, IT security, infrastructure, or information systems testing (for Performance Testers)
- Experience evaluating, recommending, and implementing automated test tools and strategies
- Proficiency in designing, implementing, and executing test and evaluation procedures
- Ability to develop, maintain, and upgrade automated test scripts and testing architectures
- Strong skills in writing, executing, and reporting on system test cases and test results
- Familiarity with enterprise testing tools such as IBM Rational ETM, RFT, RPT, and EWM
- Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, JMeter, LoadRunner, SOAPUI, and Parasoft
- Working knowledge of mainframe environments (e.g., IBM z/OS, Unisys), JCL, and scripting
- Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, and Greenplum
- Understanding of Agile, SDLC, and test lifecycle methodologies
- 2-4 years of experience in software testing with a focus on functional testing (for Functional Testers)
- Proficiency in test case design techniques including boundary value analysis, equivalence partitioning, and decision table testing
- Experience with functional testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cucumber, TestNG, JUnit)
- Experience in creating comprehensive test cases, test scenarios, and test data management
- Understanding of defect lifecycle, root cause analysis, and quality metrics
- Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Azure DevOps)
- Experience with database testing and SQL queries for data validation
- Knowledge of web application testing, including cross-browser and responsive design testing
