Remote Bilingual Commercial/Logistics Manager

Gpac is seeking a Bilingual (Chinese-English) Commercial & Logistics Manager to lead logistics, inventory, and customer service operations for our client company that is a global ingredient manufacturing business. This role plays a key part in ensuring efficient product movement from our plants in China, Indonesia, Thailand, and the U.S. to B2B customers worldwide. The ideal candidate will be fluent in both Chinese and English and capable of coordinating cross-border operations while providing exceptional service to our customers in the food, pet, and CPG industries. Key Responsibilities:

  • * International Logistics & Inventory Management
  • *

• Oversee inbound and outbound logistics across all global manufacturing sites, including bulk imports and domestic U.S. shipments.

  • Maintain visibility into inventory across multiple countries, ensuring timely production and fulfillment.
  • Manage import/export documentation, shipping schedules, and customs compliance.
  • Coordinate with 3PLs, freight forwarders, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery and cost control.
  • Customer Service & Commercial Operations
  • *

• Lead the U.S.-based customer service function, ensuring fast, accurate responses to inquiries, orders, and logistics updates.

  • Partner with sales and account managers to manage pricing, order entry, product specifications, and service levels for key B2B clients.
  • Act as a primary liaison for international plant teams and U.S. customers, ensuring alignment on production schedules and delivery expectations.
  • Provide customers with documentation including COAs, product specs, regulatory forms, and shipment tracking.
  • Cross-Cultural Communication & Coordination

• Communicate daily with teams in China, Indonesia, and Thailand to align on production, inventory, and shipping timelines.

  • Translate and relay key information clearly and efficiently between Chinese- and English-speaking teams.
  • Help bridge cultural and business communication gaps between international manufacturing sites and the U.S. office.
  • Process Optimization & Metrics
  • *

• Identify and implement supply chain improvements to reduce lead times, freight costs, and inventory holding.

  • Track and report on key metrics such as OTIF (On Time In Full), order accuracy, and logistics performance.
  • Team Leadership
  • *

• Supervise a small team focused on logistics coordination and customer service.

  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance team environment focused on continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • * Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, International Business, Logistics, or related field
  • Fluency in both Chinese and English (spoken and written) required
  • 8 years of experience in global logistics, customer service, or commercial operations
  • Prior experience working with international suppliers or manufacturing plants, ideally in Asia
  • Deep understanding of B2B ingredient supply chains, import/export logistics, and ERP systems
  • Experience in the food, or CPG ingredient space preferred
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills across cultures and time zones
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, service-oriented mindset
