Overview

Due to growth, we are adding a Sr. Systems Engineer to join our Enterprise Infrastructure team! The ideal candidate for this role will be primary in the support and maintenance of the organization Disaster Recovery, Business continuity, and Security Remediation efforts as applies to the enterprise infrastructure. The Sr. Systems Engineer ensures efforts are in alignment with the IT Enterprise Services Department to support customer-focused objectives and the IT Vision, a collaborative partner delivering innovative ideas, solutions, and services to simplify people's lives. Responsibilities

How do I make an impact on my team?

  • Provides mentoring to the team for technical challenges.
  • Develop and implement maintenance routines and system audits to ensure system integrity.
  • Provide responsive technical assistance and document configuration and support processes.
  • Work with Infrastructure, Application Services, Data Services, DBAs and business units to ensure optimal operations and uptime of application environments to set and meet service level agreements.
  • Develop/Support change control and testing processes.
  • Analyze systems for overall performance and give recommendations on improvements.
  • Provide after-hours support.
  • Participate in and support capacity planning and the development of long-term strategic goals for systems and software in conjunction with end-users, third party vendors, and department managers.
  • Establish, document, and maintain processes and procedures linked to the onboarding, management and off boarding Enterprise Applications installed on servers for Citrix and Non-Citrix consumption, along with desktop master images.
  • Work together with other members of the infrastructure team, Service Desk, and business partners to ensure that the process is seamless and operationalized (automated) as much as possible.
  • Manage and maintain our Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Netscaler, and Enterprise Application Management in a heavily virtualized environment.
  • Work with Enterprise Architects (primarily Infrastructure) to maintain long-term directional vision and alignment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

What our team expects from you?

  • Bachelor’s degree in the field of Information Technology or equivalent work experience required.
  • Disaster Recovery, Business continuity, and Security experience required.
  • 7 years of experience in hardware or software installation and support required.
  • Certifications in Citrix technologies preferred.
  • Experience required in the following areas: Microsoft/Azure Active Directory, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Netscaler, and Windows Server/OS administration.
  • Working knowledge of MAC OS.
  • Conceptual knowledge of information technologies and methodologies preferred.
  • Expert knowledge in 3 of the following areas: VMWare, Infrastructure Monitoring, Enterprise Compute, Enterprise Storage, AWS, Azure, OCI, O365, and Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktop Service.
  • Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives
  • The ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees
