Job Duties and Responsibilities

As a Data Entry/File Clerk – Logistics Operations Support Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Performing high-volume data entry using 10-key and alpha-numeric systems
  • Printing and distributing packing lists (up to 20 packets per day)
  • Making copies of packing lists and other documents as needed
  • Creating receivers and updating shared Excel spreadsheets
  • Scanning copies of Bill of Lading and filing all receivers/BOLs
  • Limited email communication with vendors and stakeholders
  • Scanning and managing documents in a fast-paced environment
  • Providing general office support as needed
  • Flexibility is essential in this role, and you must be able to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
  • Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed

Essential Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A minimum of 2 years of clerical/data entry experience
  • A minimum typing speed of 35wpm
  • A minimum of 6,000 keystrokes and higher 10-key/alpha-numeric speed
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

While not required, the following qualifications and skills are highly desirable:

  • Experience working in the logistics, transportation, or supply chain management industry
  • Knowledge of logistics software and systems
  • Familiarity with Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems quickly
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
