Job Summary

As a Customer Service Associate I at blithequark, you'll play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer experiences, driving sales growth, and maintaining a positive, safe, and respectful store environment. You'll be the face of our brand, interacting with customers, associates, and leaders to provide personalized support, answer questions, and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Associate I, your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting customers with questions and recommendations to drive sales growth and enhance the overall shopping experience
  • Managing sales transactions while working assigned cash register, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
  • Maintaining the security of cash and protecting company assets, adhering to blithequark's policies and procedures
  • Keeping the store well-stocked, recovering merchandise, and receiving merchandise in accordance with productivity standards
  • Ensuring a positive, safe, and respectful environment by maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders
  • Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness throughout the store, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out the trash, and ensuring all areas are neat and presentable
  • Performing other duties as assigned by management, such as opening and closing procedures, visual merchandising, and inventory management

Skills and Experience

To succeed as a Customer Service Associate I at blithequark, you'll need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment (highly preferred)
  • Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents
  • Physical ability to lift between 30 and 50 pounds from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
  • Excellent customer service and relationship management skills
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
