Job Summary:

We're seeking an experienced Full Stack Data Scientist to join our Customer Service team at blithequark. As a seasoned professional, you'll lead the evolution of customer service metrics, identifying key performance indicators and driving business outcomes. You'll partner with executives, product managers, data engineers, analytics engineers, and finance to foster a statistically rigorous, data-driven culture in customer service. Your expertise will help us expand the use of customer service metrics across the organization, providing valuable insights for product, engineering, and data science teams.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead the evolution of customer service metrics, identifying "north star" metrics and driving business outcomes

• Think critically about business problems and deploy the appropriate measurement technique
• Partner with executives, product managers, data engineers, analytics engineers, and finance to foster a statistically rigorous, data-driven culture in customer service
• Identify opportunity areas for experimentation and research
• Expand the use of customer service metrics across blithequark, providing valuable insights for product, engineering, and data science teams
• Develop and maintain complex data models, algorithms, and statistical techniques to drive business outcomes
• Communicate technical concepts and convey clear recommendations to a variety of audiences, including engineering, product, and senior leadership
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data-driven solutions

Essential Qualifications:

* Advanced degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, or a related quantitative field

• Strong statistical knowledge and intuition, with applied experience developing business-centric metrics frameworks
• Strong SQL skills and programming experience (Python preferred)
• Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts and convey clear recommendations to a variety of audiences
• Experience with a wide range of measurement and prediction techniques, including correlation analysis, observational causal inference, forecasting, and quasi experimentation
• Comfort working with complex data and ability to thrive with minimal oversight and process

Preferred Qualifications:

* Prior experience with customer service is not required, but a desire to learn and become an expert is a must

• Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms, such as AWS or GCP
• Experience with machine learning algorithms and techniques
• Strong understanding of data governance and data quality principles

• Annual salary range: $170,000 - $720,000
