Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Principal DevOps Engineer to join our team at arenaflex. As a Technical Subject Matter Expert/Individual Contributor, you will be responsible for driving the organizational transformation in creating DevOps tooling, practices, and culture. You will contribute to enterprise-wide requirements and ensure adoption of the same, including visibility, scalability, availability, security, and cost performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead DevOps strategy covering design, development of tools, practices, and culture
• Establish and implement DevOps best practices, including version control, code review, automated testing, and deployment scripts
• Design and manage infrastructure as code, using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar, to provision and manage resources across cloud environments
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, CircleCI, or similar, ensuring fast and reliable application deployment
• Collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure teams are adhering to industry best practices and regulatory requirements
• Monitor and analyze DevOps pipelines and practices, identifying areas for improvement, optimization, and automation to enhance launch/failback consistency and accuracy
• Stay up-to-date with emerging data technologies, trends, and best practices, and make recommendations for their adoption within the organization's DevOps environment
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior colleagues, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• Experience working in public cloud environments, such as GCP, Azure, or AWS, and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
• Proficiency in infrastructure as code concepts and tools, such as Terraform and Ansible, for automating resource provisioning and configuration
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipeline tools, such as Jenkins and CircleCI, and version control systems like Git
• Strong scripting skills in languages like Python, Bash, or similar
• Solid problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex DevOps platform issues and provide effective solutions
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications
