Experienced Data Analyst – Transportation Analytics and Business Operations

Key Responsibilities
As an Experienced Data Analyst, you'll be responsible for:
- Working with large, messy, disparate datasets to perform ad-hoc analyses and drive essential business decisions
- Developing data visualizations to display and quantify the impact of changes and specific business challenges
- Engaging with cross-functional teams to establish credibility and analyze stakeholder needs
- Partnering with Operations, Finance, and Product groups to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and latency across multiple operations and systems
- Leveraging scripting languages (Python preferred) to automate reporting tasks, such as metrics prioritization and outlier recognition
- Documenting your approaches and sharing your expertise with colleagues, mentoring them as you become a Subject Matter Expert
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Excellent SQL skills, with the ability to govern data from multiple tables while maintaining data integrity (2-4 years of experience)
- Creativity with a User Experience basis to develop impactful Tableau Dashboards (1-2 years of experience)
- Business Operations Fluency, with the ability to recognize and root-cause business problems (Supply Chain background, ideally with transportation experience)
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, advanced experience with SQL and Tableau, as well as experience with e-commerce operations or parcel service operations, would be a significant advantage. Additionally, experience with Python or other scripting languages, and data manipulation tools such as Knime, Alteryx, R, Tableau Prep, etc., would be beneficial.
