Job Description

AECOM is currently seeking a experienced and talented Freight Rail Project Manager - Civil/Track Design in Dallas, TX to join and to report to the AECOM US West Region Rail Group. This person will have the opportunity to work on a diverse set of exciting freight rail design projects with the AECOM rail group with a focus on supporting and growing our Class I, short line and industrial clients. The AECOM office provides upward mobility, opportunities for growth and leadership. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as an AECOM project manager / lead engineer on rail projects from planning, preliminary engineering, and final design.
  • Accountable for developing project scope, budget and schedule and lead client contract negotiations.
  • Coordinate, cooperate, and work collaboratively with others team members as well as support business development.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to subordinate managers and technical engineering staff.
  • Performance at this level requires experience in a professional position and demonstrated experience with the types of tasks that will be required.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA/BS + eight (8) years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Professional Engineering license in Texas (or ability to obtain)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • 8 years of relevant experience in rail design or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Proficient with OpenRoads/OpenRail or other BIM Software (AutoCAD/Civil 3D/GeoPak)
  • Ability to collaborate and coordinate with design teams consisting of multi-discipline design engineers and technicians
  • Be detail-oriented
  • Excellent communication and writing skill

Additional Information

  • Sponsorship is not offered for this position now or in the future.
  • Offered rate of compensation (Dallas, TX. & Texas regionally) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $130,000.00 - $160,000.00
  • Relocation is not offered with this opportunity.
  • Travel may be required for this position.
