Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced full stack data engineer to join our team at arenaflex. As a key member of our data engineering team, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing large-scale data pipelines and architectures that support our business growth and innovation initiatives. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and develop data-driven solutions that drive business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop large-scale data pipelines and architectures that support our business growth and innovation initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and develop data-driven solutions that drive business outcomes
- Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, data set frameworks, and tools for continuous and batch processing
- Work with the data science team to integrate data and models into automated processes
- Develop and maintain data stores and data models to support information science and other internal clients
- Ensure data quality and accessibility standards are met by incorporating data from various sources
- Investigate current data technology conditions to identify and evaluate key capabilities and suggest solutions
- Explore new tools and technologies to determine the best approach given the requirements directed by the model/use case
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering with a strong understanding of data architecture and design
- 5+ years of experience with SQL and Python programming languages
- Experience with cloud-based platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
- Strong communication, decision-making, and critical thinking skills
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with Hadoop, Hive, or PySpark
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Experience with healthcare industry data an asset
Skills and Competencies
* Strong understanding of data architecture and design principles
- Experience with cloud-based platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
- Proficiency in Python programming language
- Experience with SQL and data modeling
- Strong communication, decision-making, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
