Designer (electric distribution projects)
WECTEC Staffing Services, a subsidiary of Westinghouse Electric Company LLC, is seeking a Designer for electric distribution projects. The role involves managing design and project management tasks for electric distribution projects, including customer interaction and field assessments.
Responsibilities
- Check SAP for new customer contacts
- Field visits or computer-based design work
- Weekly scheduling meetings (Mon/Tues) and team touchpoints (Thurs)
- You will have varied daily tasks
- Will support electric side and collaborate with service/gas designers
- Supports external customers (residential and commercial)
- Collaborative office environment with idea sharing
- You will have a mix of field and office work. Field work includes visits to residential, commercial, and construction sites
- 30% field work (field assessments)
Skills
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Basic electrical knowledge or background
- Will use personal vehicle with mileage reimbursement
- Experience with GIS/AutoCAD experience is a plus but not required
- Experience in electrical or utility fields is a plus
- Can have experience in different multiple backgrounds (construction, call center, police)
