Key Responsibilities

As a Certified Pharmacy Clerk, you will be responsible for the following key tasks:

  • Assisting pharmacists in updating patient profiles and entering prescription information into the pharmacy computer system, while preserving patient confidentiality.
  • Filling prescriptions under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, including tasks such as bringing stock bottles, counting, pouring, restocking, labeling, and pricing prescriptions.
  • Preparing third-party insurance claims, processing invoices, and making accounting entries using our computerized system.
  • Ordering, receiving, tagging, and stocking prescription drugs and supplies, following product storage procedures and standards.
  • Ordering, receiving, tagging, and stocking over-the-counter products, creating product signs, and performing over-the-counter roaming duties.
  • Providing remote data entry of prescriptions for all arenaflex pharmacies in Ontario.
  • Assisting in other areas of the warehouse as necessary.

Work Schedule and Location

As a Certified Pharmacy Clerk, you will work a guaranteed 25-40 hours per week, with a flexible schedule to accommodate our pharmacy's needs. You will work from home, providing remote data entry services for all arenaflex pharmacies in Ontario.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following qualifications and requirements:

  • Education: Completed a pharmacy diploma at a Community College.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Completed a certification as required by the province where applicable.
  • Experience: Candidates with current pharmacy experience will be given preference.
  • Knowledge/Skills: Preferred knowledge of Kroll software.

  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy procedures and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in using computerized systems, including Kroll software.
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Experience working in a pharmacy environment.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy software and systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
